For uses where the rockfall protection system may need to withstand high static and dynamic stresses, HeslyGabion® proposes rockfall panels, referred to as Ring Net Panels. These typically consist of 14 in (35 cm) diameter ring nets consisting of a high strength steel wire coil. Each ring is intersected by another 4 or 6 adjoining rings to form ring net panels with a different number of rings, therefore, different dimensions. The ring nets are typically used for the facing of rock slopes subject to the falling of large masses, where the local stresses on the panel reach very high peaks, but without suffering appreciable damage.
